 This month Von Welch from Indiana University's Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research (CACR) will discussing The Software Assurance Marketplace (SWAMP). This talk with give an overview of the SWAMP and its capabilities as well as soliciting input in how the SWAMP can make itself most valuable to the SwA community.

SWAMP is creating a state-of-the-art facility that will serve as an open resource for software developers, assurance tool developers and researchers who wish to perform continuous assurance (CSwA) testing in a safe, secure environment. Funded by the Department of Homeland Security, and directed by academic experts in identity management and high throughput computing, the SWAMP’s mission is to improve the safety and quality of our software ecosystem by creating access to assurance tools and testing, and reporting.


Von Welch (@vonwelch) is Deputy Director of Indiana University’s Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research (CACR) and serves as the principle investigator for IU’s work with the SWAMP and as the SWAMP’s CSO.
