Many Faces of Human Trafficking

Event Type: Main Library Adult Program
Date: 12/9/2010
Start Time: 7:00 PM
End Time: 8:30 PM
Did you know that illegal trafficking in humans is the 2nd most profitable international trade, coming in above illegal drugs? This isn’t just a problem that happens “over there”, but has been documented in Midwestern cities and is certainly a possibility right here in Indiana. Explore the history of global human trafficking with Global Migration specialist and activist Stepanka Korytova, Ph.D. and Julie McGinnis, J.D., a legal advocate for Middle Way House to learn about both US and local Indiana legislation regarding human trafficking and what communities can do to support eradication.

This program is part of the Global Issues Community Discussion Series and offered in partnership with the Center for the Study of Global Change.
