TITLE;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Democracy’s Challenge: Reclaiming the Public Role
SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Democracy’s Challenge: Reclaiming the Public Role
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Fed up with politics and a widening partisan divide, many Americans are turning away from public life. We are, most of us, spectators rather than participants in a political process that seems to have little to do with citizens. What has gone wrong, and what should we do about it? =0D=0A=0D=0AYou are invited to participate a Citizens' Forum to carefully explore how we might reclaim our role as citizens in a democracy. No debates, no speeches from “experts,” just concerned citizens who are willing to listen to each other and share ideas so we can give our leaders the guidance they need. =0D=0A=0D=0ASpace is limited; registration is required. Sponsored by Indiana University Libraries, League of Women Voters of Bloomington-Monroe County and Monroe County Public Library with the support of the Association of Centers for the Study of Congress=0D=0A
